Caffeine Queen
Introducing my favorite Coffee influencer, CT Caffeine! She is a great resource for all of my coffee questions and has the most helpful recommendations for keeping morning coffee simple with my weekly cold brew. While she is based in New England, CT Caffeine does recommend several roasters and shops who will gladly ship their coffee to you from all over the US.
The world of coffee can be very overwhelming at times and can easily get super pricey. When I decided to start making my own coffee she offered some simple recommendations that didn’t break the bank. While the financial guru’s constantly instill that spending $7 on a cup of coffee is ridiculous, one thing that we both agree on is indulging in a drink and a pastry is often needed. There is also a feeling of self care when you pop into your favorite coffee shop and try a new drink or something that is always a delicious treat. As a former barista and current mom of two, CT Caffeine takes value in the coffee shop adventures that also feel like a touch of self care. She also shares beautiful at home recipes and visits various shops to test our their beans so you don’t have to.
Good beans that have been freshly roasted will yield the most flavorful cup of coffee. The ideal range to use beans is two weeks after they have been roasted. I've tried tons of different beans through local shops, traveling, and my Trade Coffee subscription.
Here are a few of my favorites:
◦ Giv Coffee: Perspective (Canton, Connecticut)
◦ Congregation Coffee: Gallop (New Orleans, Louisiana)
◦ Methodical: Blue Boy (Greenville, South Carolina)
