☕ 9 Phoenix Coffee Shops for Balancing Work & Wander

When you work from home everyday coffee shops start to feel like your new office. Meeting for the blog - lets go to a coffee shop, catching up with friends - meet at a coffee shop, planning content for the week or month? COFFEE SHOP!

I have been to all of these coffee shops several times and wanted to note some of specifics that I enjoy. A clean bathroom - when you are sitting in a coffee shop for 3-5 hours you will eventually need a restroom and its important to me that they are cleaned and always stocked with the essentials. Parking can make or break your coffee shop experience and no one needs a ticket or to be towed while trying to enjoy some coffee.

1) PROVISION HQ - They have the most beautiful flower wall and tasty coffee drinks, cocktails and food. When you search for a coffee shop in Phoenix, this place is at the top with their beautiful plant wall. The natural light in this space is ideal for being inspired and knocking out everything on your to do list.

  • Overall Vibe - 10/10

  • Parking - there is a huge parking lot in front of the building and a large lot across the street. I have never had a hard time finding parking though the coffee shop always seems packed.

  • Pro Tip: Come with your laptop charged. There are some seats that aren’t close to chargers.

2) WINDOW COFFEE BAR - Excellent coffee and very friendly staff. I discovered this place because they also sell my favorite bagels from Bagelfelds with Avocado mash. My go to drink is the marshmallow latte. This space is small, intimate and vibrant with a few tables outside. I have come here for meetings and just to work and it works for both.

  • Overall Vibe 10/10

  • Parking - this location has a huge parking lot since it used to be a bank.

  • Pro Tip - This space is a little small so if you want to set up for a few hours come early. They also just announced a Tempe location which looks more spacious.

3) MOXIE COFFEE - Moxie is hands down the place to work! If you need to focus, please believe that 90% of the people in there are doing the same.

  • Parking - can be limited since it shares spots with other establishments close by

  • Protip - This place an fill up quickly. Try to get there early if you are going on a weekend.

4) BERDENA’S AT THE FRED - This is the ideal shop for meeting, working or hanging with friends. They have a great indoor/outdoor space with lots of shops browse after you have your coffee. While I am writing this post from this exact coffee shop (sipping on a honey lavender latte), the music isn’t too loud and I was able to get a table with a charger. The space has an overall beautiful design and lots of outdoor seating. This is one of my top coffee shops because of the lighting.

  • Overall Vibe - 9/10

  • Parking - Large parking lot never had to wait for a spot

  • Protip - they have a limited food menu but their Avocado Toast is a favorite.

  • Overall vibe 7/10

  • Parking - Very very limited, there are several signs that note you will be towed if you park in the lot next to Better Buzz.

  • The interior setup feels perfect for IG and accommodates for people working alone.

6) CARTEL COFFEE (Tempe) - Really spacious shop and great for meeting with people or working alone. It has a rustic feel to the location and seems like people are hard at work here. Due to the size of the location you can have a private meeting easily.

  • Parking - Can be hit or miss. There are several other businesses in this area so you want to make sure you read all the signage before you park.
